An Update!

I’ve been neglecting my blog a bit recently so I thought it was about time I posted an update.  In January 2014 I gave birth to my gorgeous and cheeky son Joshua.  After those difficult first few weeks I soon settled into life as a mummy.

It wasn’t too long before I was back behind the camera photographing my first wedding 3 months after Joshua was born.  Since then I have done several weddings but have also began to do more family photography including a few parties and christenings.  Here are some of my images that didn’t get blogged…

In 2015 we moved to a village on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells where Joshua finally has a garden to play in and I have a drive (yippee! Regularly lugging baby or equipment from the car parked 5 minutes away wasn’t fun!).  You know what they say – new house, new baby! Lol.  Well our gorgeous girl Emily arrived into the world in January 2016.  She is a typical girl and is constantly talking and doesn’t want to miss out!

I’ve adjusted to having 2 kids quite well and learnt early on being organised is key (so it’s just as well that’s something I’m good at!).  Joshua is growing up so quickly and is an amazing big brother.  The bond between them and how Emily watches her brother just melts my heart and makes me go all gooey!  I love to document everything with photos and capturing those special moments and cheeky smiles as much as possible – I admit it is often with my iphone which is to hand – the moment has to trump the quality, although having some professional quality photos too is nice ;-)   Here are a few snaps from my iPhone I thought I’d share with you…

and with my camera that I braved using during bath time!…

So this journey over the past few years has got me thinking and has naturally led me into doing more family photography.  I have therefore decided to promote family photography along side my current wedding work.  Watch this space!  Blog post to follow with more details of my plans. xx
